I prayed to God several years ago that he would send me a good Christian woman that I could love and would love me and would be my partner for life.  He answered that prayer and Becky and I have now been married 7 years!  I thank God for his blessing on me!  I am a happily married man in a Christian home and I'm loving it.  We've had some hard times in our family, due to health problems and attacks on our Christian beliefs, but hey, any Christian family can expect those in this day and age!  But you know what I've learned?  It's a lot easier to handle tough times with a help-mate.  Genesis 2:18 says "And the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him" It was not good for me to be alone, and God has supplied my every need, including my wife.  It is apparent to me that, quite simply, God is providing for us, and frankly, hard times just don't seem that bad, trouble and fears do not rule our lives.  God is with us, who can stand against God?  Jesus is our salvation, and who will take that away?  Who will remove us from his hand?  Fellow Christians, it is important to remember these things when the devil attacks you (and believe me, if you're a Christian, he will!).  I thank God for the peace and the many blessings.  It is so easy to get hung up on the troubles in our lives, but folks, the blessings far outweigh the troubles, the devil just tries to get us to focus on the bad things.  Today I am taking the time to dwell on all the blessings that God has given my family and I thank him for them.  I thank him for the peace of mind that comes with obeying and trusting God.  It is a good thing to be able to sleep peacefully at night knowing that God's mighty hand is with me.  If you have not turned to Jesus Christ as your Savior, I beseech you do do so.  Search your heart, listen.  If you truly search for God, he's there.  But you've got to let Jesus lead the way, you can't have it both ways, you can't just do what you want to do, in disobedience to God, and expect his blessings.  You have to follow.  But he'll help you - you can't do it on your own, but you can do it with God's help, just ask.  And if you are married and your relationship has soured, examine yourself and ask for God's help in fixing it.   Thank you Jesus!  Praise to His holy name!
